Nulis Yuk Community

Nulis Yuk Community

Nulis Yuk community is a community in which people like to write. A community that embraces people who love the world of writing and reading. This community was formed in October 2016 by a young writer from Palembang, Sri Jayanti or more familiar called Jee. The main purpose of establishing this community is to unite people with one vision and purpose, that is to learn together about the world of literacy.

Jee actually did not intentionally create Nulis Yuk community. The author of the book "Diary Jiwa", which known to be very active in the world of authorship, is often uploaded her writings to social media and it turns out that many who like her writings then want to learn to write with her. So she decided to open Kelas Belajar Menulis Online (KBMO) in early 2016.The longer it was quite a lot of KBMO enthusiasts and come from various circles. The work of the members of KBMO also received a positive response from the net citizens. Seeing the development of her writing class, Jee was finally inspired to create a writing community called Nulis Yuk

Nulis Yuk is not an official organization that has an organizational structure such as chairman, treasurer, secretary and others. The community is managed by Jee herself and her husband, Fazar Firmansyah, who is also a writer and active in the world of literacy. They are the managers of the learning system, the data of the members, the learning materials, and others. But in collaboration Jee more often appear to accompany the members of KBMO and Nulis Yuk. While her husband more work in the behind of the scenes to take care of the system. In addition to the two of them there is another admin who helps in administrative matters, tasked to reply the chat and provide information to the public through WhatsApp, Instagram or another social media.

Currently members of the Nulis Yuk community have more than 1500 people who come from various regions in Indonesia. They come from various circles ranging from teenager, adult , not even a little who is aged 30 years and over. The majority of the members are beginners or new people in the world of authorship. This underlies the Nulis Yuk community to focus more on writing motivation. So, how do this community motivate new people to learn to write. Till people are motivated that everyone can write, that everyone has the same chance to be a writer that everyone has the same opportunity to publish a book.

Recruitment system from Nulis Yuk community will usually be announced through social media Nulis Yuk. To be able to join the candidate members must register and pay the registration fee which will usually be different from each batch. After registering the candidate members will follow the writing class first by joining Kelas Belajar Menulis Online (KBMO). During the course, candidate members will get the task and must follow the challenges that presented by KBMO. After successfully completing the challenge,  the
candidates can join with Nulis Yuk community.
There are times when the challenge hold by Nulis Yuk applies not only to the members of Nulis Yuk itself but is open to the public.Even sometimes people from abroad also follow this challenge by sending their writing.

Both KBMO and Nulis Yuk the systems are online. So the class and all the activities undertaken can not be separated with the virtual world. The members will learn together with coach through the WhatsApp group. When will they learn, how to send the assignment, and the others have been neatly arranged so as not to create the impression of confusion or irregularity. To be more conditioned, Jee made two groups for the Nulis Yuk community. The first group is a free chat group. In this group everyone is free to share, joke, and dialogue about their daily activities. The second group is a group that created specifically to learn about writing. Usually only accessible when the class is in progress. If in the first group everyone has the freedom of when they will speak, in this second group they will be more organized with a moderator who will guide during the class. The speakers or coach who will fill in writing classes are usually Jee and also her husband, but not infrequently they bring speakers from outside the community who are competent in the field. But even if everything is done by online, at several times the community of Nulis Yuk hold a meeting too in a agreed area. This meeting is used to add more intimacy among the members. The agenda is also diverse in every meetings such as discussions, Nulis Yuk community evaluation, and sometimes simultaneously with the book review event.

By joining the Nulis Yuk community people will get some facilities. They will get certificates, 8 books for the winners in every challenge, the science of authorship, join the writing community and certainly get the opportunity to write a book together and publish their own book. Currently at least 40 percent of Nulis Yuk members have successfully published their own books and some anthology books result from collaboration of members of KBMO or Nulis Yuk.
