When I was in senior high school, I joined the Boy Scouts organization. And two years ago I had officially stopped for being part of it. It had became a culture that the organization would be forwarding by the new stewardship. Therefore, for reorganization the coach made a farewell event at Setrojenar Beach, Kebumen.
The old work council and the new work council leaved from high school at 07.00 a.m by truck. Along the way we sang, shouted some yells and other scout songs. Some kind of pat we did and it could stole the attention of the people who saw us.
When we arrived at Setrojenar beach, we set up a tent. After a short rest we regrouped to hear some instructions from the coach. From 09.00 a.m until 11.30 a.m we did some official scouting activities. Such as finding traces, interviewing for new members, and doing some tests on scouting to broaden the insights of the new members. As an old member or examiner, my duties just sit in the prescribed post and wait for the new members came to receive the instructions from me.
At 12:00 a.m, a series of official events for new members is completed. We pray together under the pine trees. By rolling out the mats to the breath of the breeze, our prayers went solemnly. As planned, after lunch we did Rujakan. We used makeshift tools. Even for a place of Rujak, each of us used a cover cardboard of lunch.
Our togetherness became more pronounced when we arrived at the peak of the event. We formed a circle of friendship and we did some games. Sang and laugh together. Before we went home we played water on the beach and captured some moments there. This was really sweet and happy moment and I always miss for being a part of the Boy Scouts.
